You Have No Idea Who's in Your Building

An employee quit two weeks ago. Did you rekey every door they had access to? Probably not. That $300 locksmith bill adds up fast when you're doing it every time someone leaves. A commercial access control system eliminates this problem entirely. Meanwhile, your master key has been copied three times and you can't prove who has one.

Shared PIN codes are worse. Everyone in the office knows the stockroom code. When inventory goes missing, you're left with no log, no timestamp, and very little to work with when trying to figure out who walked in at 11 p.m. on a Saturday. Traditional locks give you a deadbolt, not accountability.

Cloud access control replaces all of this with individual credentials you manage from your phone. Issue access in seconds, revoke it instantly, and get a timestamped record of every door event. No locksmith, no rekeying, no guessing.

Advantages

AccessControlSystemFeatures

01

More Than Locks

We design access control system installations around how your business runs: who needs in, when, and how. Employees, vendors, tenants. Our systems keep things secure and moving. We stick with Paxton10, Net2, and PDK because they scale cleanly and are simple to administer.

02

No Lost Keys

A real access system lets you kill access instantly. No rekeying, no drama. Cleaners and employees only get in during the hours you specify. You know who entered the IT room and when. You can be notified if a door is propped open.

03

Phone Credentials

Cards and fobs get lost, loaned out, and left at home. Phones don't. Many of our customers now use mobile credentials. No hardware to buy and hand out, nothing to reprogram, and no hassle when someone leaves.

04

Multi-Tenant

We install systems that let each suite manage its own doors, without affecting others. Owners can override, tenants control their own users, and you don't have to babysit it.

Our Approach

AccessControlSystemInstallation

Weinstalldooraccesssystemsthatmakesenseforyourbuilding,foryourstaff,andforyourday-to-day.Ifyou'restillhandingoutkeys,chasingdownfobs,orgettingburnedbycheapsystemsthatlockyouout,orworse,don'tstaylocked,it'sprobablytimetofixthat.

We primarily install Paxton Net2 and cloud-based PDK systems because they're reliable, scalable, and don't turn simple things into tech support headaches.

WhyNotJustStickWithKeys?

×Lost keys = security risk
×Rekeying = recurring expense
×Unlocked doors = liability
×No audit trail = no clue who's coming in or when

A solid access control system doesn't just stop bad actors. It keeps the right people moving. Tenants, vendors, delivery drivers, cleaning crews... You control when and where they get in.

Modern Systems Go Beyond Badge Readers

Unlock doors remotely from your phone or web browser
Set schedules for vendors or after-hours access
Track events: see who accessed what and when
Use mobile credentials, no more badge printing
Manage users in seconds, not hours
Tie into security cameras, alarm systems, or other building tech

MobileAccessCredentialsBeatKeyFobs.

Fobs get lost, forgotten, or passed around. Phones? Everyone's got one. All the time. With PDK, setup is fast, management is simple, and there's nothing to hand out or keep track of. It just works.

Our Difference

WhatWeDo(ThatMostDon't)

Clean Installs That Pass Inspection

No dangling wires. No hacked-together wall plates. No panic when the fire marshal shows up. We plan for inspections from day one.

Documentation & Labeling

Every wire is labeled. Every panel is documented. When it's time to expand or troubleshoot, no one's guessing.

Communication & Coordination

We actually talk to your GC, door hardware guy, and fire alarm vendor. We check power, verify hardware, and ask the right questions early.

Property Management

Multi-TenantAccessThatActuallyWorks

Managing a strip plaza, office building, or shared commercial space? We design door access systems that let you:

Assign access by suite or tenant
Control time-based entry for cleaners and deliveries
Give building managers full override access
Remove tenants without rekeying the whole system

ThinkingAboutUpgrading?

Start small. We recommend beginning with 2-3 high-priority doors: main entrance, back door, maybe an IT or storage room. We'll help you figure out what works best based on traffic, risk, and layout.

Want PINs? Phones? Cards? We'll walk through options. Paxton and PDK scale well, so you're never stuck.

Cat6 vs Cat6e: Is Cat6e a Real Standard?

No. Cat6e has no TIA/EIA spec, no test protocol, and no defined performance standard — it's a vendor marketing label. Here's what "Cat6e" actually means on a bid, how real Cat6 vs Cat6A specs compare, and what to check when "Cat6e" shows up in a quote.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Cloud-based systems like PDK and Paxton10 make managing access simple and flexible. You don't need to be on-site to make changes. Add or remove users, check activity logs, and unlock doors right from your phone or laptop.

All 3 systems support up to 1000 doors. Most of our installs fall in the 2-10 door range. For these projects, we primarily recommend Paxton10 and PDK.

Yes. With both PDK and Paxton10, you can unlock doors remotely via mobile or web apps. Forgot to lock up? No problem. Need to let a vendor in halfway across town? Done in seconds.

The common integration is with security cameras. Paxton10 makes this very intuitive. It's simple to cross-check security footage with badge use. Beyond that, the integrations we see frequently are with alarm systems and building automation (HVAC).

With PDK and Paxton10, your doors won't just stop working. Each controller stores data locally, so users can still badge in even if your connection is out. The system just syncs back up when internet returns.

A qualified access control installer should have experience with commercial access control systems, not just residential smart locks. Look for a contractor who can handle door hardware, card readers, electric strikes, maglocks, and cloud platform configuration. They should also be able to integrate access control with your security cameras and fire alarm system. TSS USA installs commercial access control systems across Tampa Bay.

On-premise access control systems store all data on a local server, which means you need to be physically present to make changes. Cloud-based access control systems like PDK and Paxton10 store data securely in the cloud, so you can add users, lock doors, and pull reports from anywhere. Cloud systems also get automatic software updates and are easier to scale as your business grows.
